Distant Cousins is an indie pop band from Los Angeles, California, that formed in 2013. The band is made up of Ami Kozak, Duvid Swirsky, and Dov Rosenblatt. Rosenblatt was in several bands before Distant Cousins and Swirsky founded Moshav. Once the group got together, they released their self-titled EP in 2014 and a second in 2015. Some of their songs have been in films, commercials, and on TV shows. Two of the band members met when their bands at the time were playing a show together. The three started playing together, and the name referenced their familiarity with one another when they joined as a band. Their debut album came out in 2019 with a live visual album following in 2020. They also have two EPs, a long list of singles, and 7 music videos.
