New Edition

New Edition is an R&B group that formed in 1978 in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Many believed their name was meant to infer they were a new version of the Jackson 5. The group became highly popular in the 80s and is considered an example of what we now know as a boy band. The lineup of the band morphed over the years, but all six original members reunited in 1996 for another studio album. They performed on Dick Clark’s New Years Rocking Even in 2022 and in 2023, they were inducted into the National Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame.
