Djo, best known for playing Steve Harrington on the Netflix horror-fantasy series Stranger Things, is a pioneer of psychedelic bedroom pop. His debut album Twenty Twenty (2019) and sophomore LP Decide (2022) have gained attention, the latter reaching number nine on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.

Originally from Massachusetts, he studied theater at DePaul University. There, here, co-founded the psych-pop band Post Animal. In 2015, the group put out their debut studio album to much acclaim. His acting career soared, yet he continued making music.

In his early twenties, Joe Keery, formerly known as Cool Cool Cool, played guitar and drums for the band he belonged to. Their second album, When I Think Of You In A Castle, showcased his guitar and vocal talents. Transitioning to a solo career, he released singles like ”Roddy” and ”Chateau (Feel Alright)” under the name Djo. His debut album, Twenty Twenty, earned praise for its inventive psychedelia.

In 2022, he embarked on a summer festival tour and dropped his sophomore album, Decide, featuring hits like ”Change.” The track ”End of Beginning” gained viral status, marking another success in Keery's musical journey.
