How it all began: In the midst of a forest with a subtle scent of pine, cousins Marco Antonio and Joel Solís formed a duo at just over twelve years old, captivating passersby in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán with their guitars and gifted voices. They made their way to Mexico City and first became known through the TV show "Siempre en Domingo" in 1971 as "Dueto Solís".

Two years later, the two founded Los Bukis, a Mexican grupero band – their debut album Falso Amor was immediately well received. The band knows exactly how to combine soulful music and emotional depth and add a bit of Latin music. In the 1980s, Roberto Guadarrama, José Javier Solís, Pedro Sánchez and Eusebio "El Chivo" Cortéz joined. The album Me Volví a Acordar de Ti (1986) sold a total of 1.35 million copies – that meant diamond status for Mexico. Not the only achievement of Los Bukis: They won several Latin Grammy Awards and Billboard Latin Music Awards.
