The vehicles used in the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (better known as NASCAR) might resemble trucks and cars that you see on the roads every day more so than their otherworldly counterparts in Formula 1 or IndyCar Series racing, but don’t be fooled: NASCAR vehicles are souped-up, state-of-the-art machines designed specifically for their unique brand of racing. NASCAR races differ as well in that most courses are “left-turn races” due to running counter-clockwise around tracks that are ovals or “tri-ovals” (ovals with a triangle shape built into one side), meaning that factors such as unequal wear and tear on tires must be taken into account by constructors, drivers, and mechanics. Some races, however, are run on road courses, however, which involve right turns as well as they bend around the features of the landscape. With most races generally running 500 miles (804 km) and taking anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete, NASCAR drivers must be physically fit and extremely skilled, able to maneuver their car quickly, strategically, and safely within a pack of up to 40 vehicles on challenging banked tracks, all at an average speed of 70 mph (113 km/h) on road tracks or 153 mph (246 km/h) on ovals. While NASCAR currently runs a dizzying number of different series and events, three top levels of NASCAR racing are the most popular in Canada and the United States. At the top of the ladder is the Nascar Cup Series, followed by the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (which features pickup trucks instead of cars). With races taking place from early February to mid-November, with the Playoffs beginning in September each year, NASCAR drivers and their teams are desperate at every stage of the Series to finish as high in the standings as possible to pick up as many points as they can towards the dream of becoming NASCAR Champions for the year. With the roar of the engines only matched by the roar of the massive crowd in the stands, NASCAR races are wild, visceral, gritty events that will enthrall you with all their pre-race buildup, on-track drama, and electric atmosphere. Don’t miss your chance–buy your NASCAR tickets from TicketX today!
NASCAR is very much an American sport, with very few people outside the United States knowing much about NASCAR (with the possible exception of Canada) or recognizing the true extent of its popularity. NASCAR races pull in absolutely huge crowds, with thousands upon thousands of racing fans descending on tracks for race weekends to party, catch up with old friends, and cheer on their favorite drivers. While this makes for an incredible atmosphere on race day (or race weekend), it also creates high demand for tickets, which frequently sell out well in advance. To find the cheapest tickets to NASCAR races, trust TicketX! TicketX lists all NASCAR tickets as they become available and our handy seating chart is the best way to compare prices and seat locations. NASCAR tickets can be yours with a single click, all with the lowest commission fees around!
In 2024, the NASCAR race lineup has scheduled 36 NASCAR Cup Series races, 33 NASCAR Xfinity Series races, and 23 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races. These races are held across the United States, generally in the South (though not exclusively) at various ovals, tri-ovals, superspeedways, and road courses. The Playoffs for all three Series begin in the fall (late August-November) and are made up of the final 7-10 races (depending on the Series). Races are held roughly once a week throughout the season, with different Series sometimes overlapping/doubling up on weekends at a single venue. Check TicketX for the cheapest tickets to all upcoming NASCAR events!
The driver to beat in the 2024 Nascar Cup Series is probably Ryan Blaney of Penske, who won the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series with an overall points tally of 5035. Kyle Larson and William Byron of Hendrick finished inches off the pace at 5034 and 5033 points in 2023 and will both be looking to reach the top of the podium in 2024. Fans of the NASCAR Xfinity Series will have their eye on 2023 champion Cole Cluster of Stewart-Haas Racing in 2024, as well as Justin Allgaier and Sam Mayer of JR Motorsports, who both pushed Cluster to his limit last season. The 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series also looks to be extremely competitive this year, with Ben Rhodes of ThorSport going head to head with Grant Enfinger of CR7 Motorsports and Carson Hocevar of Spire Motorsports to defend his 2023 NASCAR truck crown.
Attending a NASCAR race is quite different from attending most other sporting events. Because so many fans travel considerable distances to be there, race days are usually transformed into race weekends (sometimes stretching to 3-4 days), with all sorts of concerts, parties, car events, qualifying rounds, and fanfests to entertain both visitors and locals. Tailgating at NASCAR events is incredibly popular, with scores of fans camping out, grilling, drinking, and catching up with friends (and making new ones) in the build-up to the big race. And when those 40 engines start up–VROOM, look out! You’ll be truly amazed by the sound, the speed, and the sheer excitement of watching NASCAR live! Do not miss out on your chance to attend a NASCAR race in 2024. Get onto TicketX right now and book your NASCAR tickets today to join the party.
