Cirque du Soleil: Twas The Night Before is Cirque du Soleil’s first holiday show based on the classic poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” also known as “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The story features a young girl, Isabella, who feels like she’s outgrown Christmas and doesn’t want to go through the tradition of reading the poem with her father. When a snowstorm separates them, she rediscovers the magic of Christmas through a journey with her father where they meet whimsical characters. As is standard for cirque shows, there is plenty of acrobatics, beloved characters, and music. Children and adults alike enjoy the quirky, colorful characters who guide Isabella on her journey. The costumes, original music compositions, visual arts, theater, acrobatics, and dance come together to delight every sense. As the first Christmas show, Cirque du Soleil: Twas The Night Before is also the first show to be recreated with four casts touring with the production.
