The Script is a soft-rock band from Dublin that formed in 2001. The Irish band moved to London after signing with a label. They produced their first album in 2009, which placed several singles on the market as well. The album hit the number one spot in the UK and Ireland. Their next three albums also topped the charts and even went to number three in the U.S. The Script’s music has been in the background of TV shows like Ghost Whisperer, The Vampire Diaries, 90210, and more. The band’s frontman acted as a judge on The Voice UK on the first and second seasons before leaving to focus on his band more. The Script has sold over 20 million albums and they have won three Meteor Ireland Music Awards, two World Music Awards, and were nominated for two Brit Awards. The band’s co-founder, Mark Sheehan, passed away at age 46 in 2023 after an illness.
