Men I Trust is an indie band from Canada that got together in 2014. The band self-released their music on 4 albums and used an indie label in Canada to put out physical editions. Men I Trust was formed by high school friends who reunited over music in college. After they began self-releasing music, they were invited to perform at festivals like the Quebec City Summer Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival. The group’s music has been described as indie, but also electropop and even dream pop. The band says their songs are hypnotic melodies with captivating vocals that are a genre of their own. The sound goes from lo-fo to jazz and funk and even has elements of R&B in it.
