The Dallas Cowboys might be one of the most successful teams in NFL history, with 5 Super Bowl championships from 8 appearances at the Big Show, but you wouldn’t know it if you’ve only seen them lately. Since their incredible purple patch in the 1990s, when the Cowboys won 3 Super Bowls in just 4 seasons, they have had rotten luck in the Playoffs, never making it further than the Divisional Rounds. And yet, that Lone Star emblem on the team’s helmets remains truly iconic, featured on merchandise worn all over the globe (sometimes by people who have never heard of American football!). Surely it cannot be long before the Cowboys round themselves up again, circle the wagons, and make another long-awaited run at the Super Bowl. Get your Dallas Cowboys tickets from TicketX and saddle up!
Nothing gets NFL football fans all pumped up more than watching their team square off against a massive rival. Here are two of the Dallas Cowboys’ most significant rivalries.
The long rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, two of the most legendary teams in the NFL, has many sides to it. In one sense it is purely a sporting rivalry, as the two teams often contested the NFC against one another throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, including 3 straight NFC Championship Games between 1992-94 (with the first two won by the Cowboys en route to two Super Bowl victories). The teams are also similar in that they have not won a Super Bowl for a while (1995 for the Cowboys, 1994 for the 49ers). Beyond football, many have also suggested that the Cowboys-49ers rivalry also represents the broader intra-American cultural clash between California and Texas, though how keenly this is felt today is a matter of opinion. The teams will renew their ancient grudge this season on October 27 at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco.
The Dallas Cowboys’ rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles heated up in the 1970s and has remained so ever since, with the teams contesting the division and the conference on numerous occasions. Things turned nasty in the 1980s and 1990s when the Dallas kicker was threatened by Eagles players (it was said that they placed a bounty on him!) and Eagles fans threw snowballs at the Cowboys players. They also cheered after a Cowboys wide receiver, Michael Irvin, was knocked unconscious during a game. Needless to say, Cowboys fans were more than a little pleased when their team beat the Eagles in 7 straight games in the 1990s, including in the Playoffs. The overall series currently stands at 73-56 in favor of the Cowboys. The teams clash this season twice: on November 10 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and on December 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Dallas Cowboys preseason kicks off on August 11 against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, followed by a trip to Las Vegas to face the Raiders on August 17. The Cowboys then head home to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to round out their postseason against the Los Angeles Chargers on August 24.
The prices of tickets to Dallas Cowboys preseason games vary depending on the opposing team and the location of the game. As one example, we examined prices of tickets to the Cowboys preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on August 17.

There will be 14 teams that qualify for the Postseason—seven from the AFC and seven from the NFC—and despite an influx of new and talented QBs drafted by teams in the 2024 NFL Draft, expect at least 11 of the same teams in the NFL Playoffs as last season.
So, who are the four that might not make it this time and who didn’t make the Playoffs last year but might in the 2024-25 season? The Buccaneers, Browns, and Steelers may find it harder this time around, with the Falcons, Bengals, and Jets possibly making the Wild Card round.
Last season, the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers met in the NFC Championship Game, and the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs collided in the AFC Championship Game, with the 49ers meeting the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Expect those four heavyweights, along with the Packers, Eagles, Cowboys, and Rams in the NFC and the Texans and Bills in the AFC, to make it back to the NFL Playoffs next season.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be seeking their third straight Super Bowl win. With genius Head Coach Andy Reid, TE Travis Kelce, and a much-improved defense, they are the best team in the AFC and have lofty expectations. The Lions had the Niners on the ropes last year and have steadily improved the last two seasons. They are eyeballing a shot at the Super Bowl and have the skill position players and chip on their shoulders.
So Jared Goff and Detroit (12/1 to win the Super Bowl, DraftKings) could meet the best player in the NFL—Mahomes—and his Chiefs (+550) in Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
2024-25 NFL Super Bowl LIX Prediction: Chiefs 33 Lions 24
After another disappointing season in 2023-24 where they again missed out on the postseason, the Dallas Cowboys will be desperate to beef up their squad with free agents, new talent from the draft, and trades with other franchises for the upcoming season. The Cowboys selected Tyler Guyton (OT) in the 1st round of the 2024 draft, who should add some speed and power to their offensive line. They will be praying that he is ready to step straight into pro ball next year. To add some depth and experience, the Cowboys may also look to the trade or free agency, with rumored trade targets including Dameon Pierce (RB) of the Houston Texans, Terrace Marshall Jr. (WR) of the Carolina Panthers, and Maurice Hurst (DT) of the Cleveland Browns.
You can find the cheapest Dallas Cowboys tickets starting from $12.11 at AT&T Stadium on Aug 24 on TicketX. Prices vary depending on locations and dates, so please search for tickets based on the location and dates of games that you might be interested in attending.

The stadium has a retractable roof that can be opened on nice days so that visitors can revel in the fine Texas weather. Along with all regular season and playoff Cowboys home games, the stadium plays host to several big college football showdowns, including the Cotton Bowl, along with concerts, rodeos, and even motorsports events. A number of good hotels can be found within walking distance (or a short cab ride) of AT&T Stadium, including the Sheraton Arlington Hotel, Aloft Arlington Entertainment District, and Courtyard by Marriott Arlington.
The sheer size of the AT&T Stadium means that visitors have a lot of choice when it comes to seating options. There is premium seating in the form of suites and club seats, as well as seats near the team benches for those fans seeking a memorable up-close encounter with their sporting heroes. The venue also houses plenty of mid-range and cheaper seats to suit every preference and budget, but there isn’t a bad seat in the house from which to view the action.
