Overview

Founded in 1971, the Cymbiotika San Diego Open, popularly known as the San Diego Open, is a women's hardcourt tennis tournament held every year at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California. The tournament is sponsored by Cymbiotika, a health and wellness brand, and is a WTA 500 event, making it an attractive tournament for top-ranked tennis players around the world. The initiative behind the San Diego Open is to empower women and girls in the community using tennis. Beyond the tennis matches, it tries to educate, inspire, and empower women through mental strength talks and Q&A sessions with players.

The 2024 Cymbiotika tournament held in the Barnes Tennis Center was a huge success. The competition served up its first match in the qualifiers on February 24 and concluded on March 2.
