The Hold Steady is a rock band from Brooklyn that formed in 2003. The five-member band is known for its lyrical storytelling that addresses themes like religion, drug addiction, and more. After two of its members broke from another band, The Hold Steady formed and released their first album in 2004. They gained fame when they put out their third album in 2006.
