Cody Johnson

Cody Johnson, also known as CoJo, is an American country music singer and composer known for his energetic live shows and concerts. He was born in Sebastopol, Texas.

He started out in a country music career as a performer in local bars and rodeo events before becoming well-known in the country music world. He was involved in the rodeo before choosing music as his full-time career, which has influenced both his sound and his personality. His success has mostly been community-driven, relying on touring and fan support.

Cody Johnson rose to fame by being dedicated to country music and a mixture of grassroots touring, independent releases, and traditional country music. His traditional country vibes and high-energy live performances have built and increased his fan base.

His significant progress came in 2014 after the release of the album, “Cowboy Like Me” which brought him greater fame in the country music industry.

He released “Ain’t Nothin’ to It”, his debut major-label album, in 2019 under Warner Music Nashville. The album featured singles like “On My Way to You,” and he was able to reach a wider audience with this record.

Cody Johnson's career kept growing with the release of "Human: The Double Album" in 2021. This album also featured the number one single "Til You Can't."

In the course of his rise, Johnson’s strong storytelling, classic country influences, and unwavering work ethic were all major contributors to his success.

Cody Johnson has won several awards; in 2022, he won the Country Music Award (CMA) for Music Video of the Year, for “Till You Can’t”, and in 2023, he won the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Country Artist.
