Paramount Theatre is a live theatre venue/movie theatre located in downtown Austin, Texas. The buildings itself is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Paramount Theatre has graced the stage by sitting presidents, Academy, GRAMMY, Tony and Golden Globe-winning performers, magicians, and even the occasional troupe of trained acrobatic kittens. Recognized as a historic destination for movie enthusiasts, Paramount Theatre also serve as screening locations for local film festivals, making them an integral part of Austin's cultural tapestry. Paramount Theatre annually host the SXSW Film & TV Festival and Austin Film Festival, showcasing some of the best and brightest in the film industry. The theaters also host their own marquee events like the beloved Summer Classic Film Series, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.
