About Stars

Stars is a Canadian indie pop and rock band formed in 2000, originally in New York City by Toronto natives Torquil Campbell and Chris Seligman, before relocating to Montreal, where they are currently based. Their lush, cinematic sound blends melodic pop, electronic elements, and introspective lyrics. Core members include Campbell and Amy Millan, whose contrasting vocals define the band's dreamy, conversational style, alongside Evan Cranley (bass), Chris Seligman (keyboards), and Patrick McGee (drums). Stars has released nine albums, including standouts Set Yourself on Fire (2004), In Our Bedroom After the War (2007), and From Capelton Hill (2022), earning consistent praise for their poetic songwriting.
