Emmanuel was a post-hardcore band that formed under the name Emanuel Nice in 1998. The band self-released four albums before they got signed and changed their name in 2004. They then released two studio albums. Emmanuel came together when the members were 14-year-old high school students from two different schools to form a garage band. Once they were signed, they underwent a musical renovation into an indie, emo genre with aggressive guitar licks and cynical lyrics. After their album release, they took part in the Vans Warped Tour in 2005. More recently, they have been “writing a lot”, but their website has been shut down since 2011 and fans assume they have broken up. Emmanuel was known for their support of PETA causes like stopping animal testing and abstaining from killing animals for clothing.
