The Chicago Street Course is a temporary street course set up for two NASCAR races in the first full weekend of July. The idea for this circuit was actually generated during the COVID pandemic when drivers participated in computer simulation driving events (as the real races had been canceled). After restrictions were lifted, NASCAR decided to transform the Chicago Street Course from a simulation into a reality! The Course is a 2.2 mile (3.5 km) double loop using normal city roads that have been temporarily fenced off for the races. Shane van Gisbergen set the course race lap record of 1:29.914 in his Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in 2023. Get your tickets to 2024 motorsports events at the Chicago Street Course from TicketX today!
The Chicago Street Course will be hosting two exciting NASCAR races in a single racing weekend in 2024:
Jun 6 - The Loop 110 (NASCAR Xfinity Series)
Jun 7 - Grant Park 165 (Nascar Cup Series)
Other events are sometimes held at the Chicago Street Course, including concerts, festivals, in conjunction with the NASCAR races. Keep your eyes open for announcements about exciting new events at the Chicago Street Course in the near future.
