Okean Elzy is a Ukrainian rock band that got together in 1994. The band, which formed in Lviv, is the most successful Ukrainian rock band and even received the award “Best Rock Act” in 2007. The group had four members originally, but memberships have changed over the years and they currently have five bandmates. They played their first concert in 1995 after rehearsing for a year and then released a demo tape. They joined in for two of the biggest Ukrainian music festivals that same year. The band was established on the festival circuit in 1996 and took their music well beyond that. The first movie about the group came out that year as well. When they moved to Kyiv in 1998, they got their real big break and sold out concerts to fans who could sing along to all of their songs.

Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy is on the road for “The Lighthouse Tour” this year and well into 2025. They will run through Canada before hitting U.S. cities like New York, Philadelphia, Saint Paul, San Francisco, and more. The tour ends in their native country with a few stops in different cities around Ukraine. The tour supports their new album by the same name and some of the proceeds from the tour will go towards the Open Eyes Fund For Live initiative, which attempts to get ambulances and medical equipment to areas in need. The band is known for their unique style, energetic performances, and deep lyrics.
