The Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represents the University of Arkansas in NCAA Division I competition. Competing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the Razorbacks have a proud basketball tradition and strong national reputation. The program won the national championship in 1994, defeating Duke Blue Devils men's basketball 76–72 in the title game under head coach Nolan Richardson, and reached the championship game again in 1995, finishing as national runners-up after falling to UCLA Bruins men's basketball 89–78. Known for their fast-paced, aggressive style of play, the Razorbacks have consistently been competitive in the SEC. They play their home games at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas, one of the largest and most energetic arenas in college basketball, with a seating capacity of 19,368, the fifth-largest on-campus arena in the United States. The team continues to attract top recruits and remains a strong contender each season.
