Nicholas Jamerson is an American singer-songwriter from Prestonsburg in eastern Kentucky, rooted in the storytelling traditions of Appalachian folk, country, and Americana music. He first gained recognition as a founding member and lead vocalist of the country duo Sundy Best, which he formed with childhood friend Kris Bentley after attending the University of Pikeville. Following the duo's breakup in 2018, Jamerson pursued a solo career, performing with his band The Morning Jays. Known for his soaring voice and vivid, character-driven songwriting, he has performed at iconic venues including the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. His most recent album, The Narrow Way, produced by Rachel Baiman and featuring collaborations with Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show and Tim O'Brien, continues his exploration of Appalachian roots and personal reflection.
