Eli Young Band is a country band that met at the University of North Texas and released its first album in 2002. The group has hit the charts eight times, four of which reached number one. When two of the members were dorm roommates their freshman year, they started writing and singing together. They started the acoustic duo, Eli & Young, then added more members to create the Eli Young Band later on. Many of the songs they created when they were a young band, they still play live today.
