Flatline Calvary is a country/Americana band that formed in 2014 in Lubbock, Texas. The group came together when college roommates performed together. Then, they moved to Lubbock and gathered the rest of the members. The next year, they released their debut EP after crowd-funding the money to finance the production. Their first full album came out in 2016 and garnered positive reviews. The second album came out in 2019. The original members included Cleto Cordero, the vocalist, Jason Albers, the drummer, Jonathan Saenz, the bassist, Reid Dillon, the guitarist, and Laura Jane, the violinist. Wesley Hall replaced Jan in 2018. The group started at Midland College when Cordero and Albers were rooming together. When they studied at Texas Tech University, they met the other members and the lineup fell together. Cordero writes most of the band’s songs.
