North Texas SC is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Texas, serving as the reserve and development team of MLS club FC Dallas. Founded in December 2018 and owned by Hunt Sports Group, the club began play in 2019 as a founding member of USL League One, winning the inaugural league championship that same year. In 2022, the club transitioned to MLS Next Pro, the third division of American soccer, further strengthening its role as a player development pathway from the FC Dallas Academy to the MLS first team. The club plays its home matches at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium in Mansfield, Texas, with a new 7,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Mansfield set to open in 2026. In 2024, North Texas SC won the MLS Next Pro Cup, completing a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Philadelphia Union II after trailing 2-0 at halftime, becoming the third champion in the league's history.
