About Jayda G

Jayda G (born Jayda Guy) is a Canadian house music DJ and producer from Grand Forks, British Columbia. What makes her story uniquely compelling is her dual identity as an artist and scientist: while completing a Master's degree in Resource and Environmental Management specializing in environmental toxicology at the University of British Columbia, she began DJing and learning production. She released her debut solo project Jaydaisms in 2016 before dropping her acclaimed debut album Significant Changes on Ninja Tune in 2019. Her 2020 single "Both of Us" earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Known for her infectious high-energy DJ sets and a sound rooted in house, disco, and funk, she has performed at festivals worldwide including Glastonbury and Dekmantel, and is now based in London.
