About Deltron 3030
Deltron 3030 is an American and Canadian alternative hip hop trio formed in 1999, comprising rapper Del the Funky Homosapien, producer Dan the Automator, and Canadian turntablist DJ Kid Koala. Each member performs under a futuristic alter ego, with Del as Deltron Zero, Dan as the Cantankerous Captain Aptos, and Kid Koala as Skiznod the Boy Wonder. Their self-titled debut album, released in May 2000, is a landmark concept album set in the dystopian year 3030, following the story of a mech soldier rebelling against corporate oligarchs who suppress human rights and hip hop. Blending cinematic production, cerebral lyricism, and experimental turntablism, the album became a cult classic and a cornerstone of conceptual hip hop. Their second album, Event 2, was released in 2013.
