About Texas A&M Aggies Softball

The Texas A&M Aggies softball program represents Texas A&M University in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southeastern Conference, playing home games at Davis Diamond in College Station. Founded in 1973, the program is one of the sport's pioneers, winning three national championships including the 1982 AIAW title and NCAA titles in 1983 and 1987, and reaching the championship game six times. Under head coach Trisha Ford, who took over in 2023, the Aggies have surged back to national prominence, compiling a 127-47 record in her first three seasons and earning the program's first-ever No. 1 national ranking in 2025. The Aggies were named co-champions of the 2025 SEC Tournament alongside Oklahoma after the championship game was cancelled due to inclement weather.
