About Oklahoma State Cowgirls Softball

The Oklahoma State Cowgirls softball program represents Oklahoma State University in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big 12 Conference, playing home games at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater. Founded in 1975, the program has grown into one of college softball's most consistent contenders, making 16 Women's College World Series appearances. Under head coach Kenny Gajewski, who took over in 2016, the Cowgirls have reached five consecutive WCWS from 2019 to 2024, establishing Stillwater as a destination for elite talent. The program has won nine regular season conference titles and produced multiple Olympic athletes including Michelle Smith, Lauren Bay, and Melanie Roche.
