About Crossroads Guitar Festival

The Crossroads Guitar Festival is a benefit concert series founded by Eric Clapton to support the Crossroads Centre Antigua, an addiction treatment and education facility he established in 1998 for people struggling with chemical dependency. The first event was held in 1999 at Madison Square Garden in New York City under the title Eric Clapton and Friends in Concert, with the official Crossroads Guitar Festival name debuting at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas in 2004. Held periodically, the festival gathers some of the world's most celebrated guitarists across rock, blues, and beyond for multi-artist performances and collaborations. Past participants have included B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, and Jeff Beck. All profits from each edition benefit the Crossroads Centre Antigua.
