About Francis Mercier

Francis Mercier is a Haitian DJ, producer, and record label founder based in New York City. Born in the United States and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he moved to New York at age 18 to study applied mathematics and economics at Brown University, where his diverse background helped shape his distinctive sound. He is the founder and head of Deep Root Records, an independent label dedicated to pushing boundaries within house music. Known for blending Afro, deep, and melodic house elements into a culturally rich sound, Mercier has reached number two on Beatport's overall chart and received airplay on BBC Radio 1, Diplo's Revolution on SiriusXM, and Tomorrowland One Radio. He has collaborated with artists including Diplo, Major Lazer, Gorgon City, and BLOND:ISH, and has been featured in Forbes, Billboard, and DJ Mag.
