About The Texas Gentlemen
The Texas Gentlemen are a Dallas, Texas-based collective of musicians originally assembled by multi-instrumentalist and producer Beau Patrick Bedford as an all-purpose backing band for singer-songwriters. Before stepping out on their own, the group backed an impressive array of artists including George Strait, Leon Bridges, Kris Kristofferson, and Ed Sheeran. A major career milestone came in 2016 when they served as Kristofferson's backing band at the Newport Folk Festival, his first appearance there in 45 years. The group released their debut album TX Jelly in 2017 on New West Records, showcasing a swampy, funk and blues-infused roots rock sound. Named one of Rolling Stone's "10 New Country Artists You Need to Know," the Texas Gentlemen have earned a reputation as one of the most versatile and celebrated bands in American roots music.
