About Moe's Alley

Moe’s Alley is a live music venue for those 21 years of age and older. The venue has a full bar, outdoor patio, and a great atmosphere. It is located in Santa Cruz, California. Established in 1992, this venue has brought in musical acts of all kinds to entertain locals and those who want to travel to the region for a good show.

Moe's Alley Rules

  • You can get tickets to any show at Moe’s Alley online at Moesalley.com, or TicketX. Shows often sell out, so it’s best to get your spot saved early. When the door opens, online ticket sales stop. The rest of the tickets will then be sold at the door, if there are any left, and are available first come, first served.

  • Tickets cannot be refunded. You may be able to transfer your ticket to someone else, but you cannot get your money back.

  • No one under 21 is allowed in the venue and everyone needs a valid photo ID to enter.

  • Food is usually available, but ticket holders will be notified if there won’t be food present.

  • Most of the space at Moe’s Alley is standing room and general admission. There is limited seating and those who want them and get there first receive them. Arrive early if you want one of the few seats.

  • You can bring cameras, but any audio recording or professional cameras have to be cleared a week before the show with the band as well as the venue.

  • No outside beverages can be brought in, but you can bring empty water bottles to fill.

  • Smoking and vaping are not allowed and must be done in the designated areas.

  • No dogs are allowed inside as it’s not a safe spot for them.

Moe's Alley Bag Policy

Safety is a priority at Moe’s Alley. They do not allow large bags or backpacks. Their website does not describe sizes, but you can only bring small purses or bags through at the club entrance. These smaller items are also subject to be searched.

Moe's Alley Seating

According to the Moe's Alley FAQ page, the venue is a general admission, standing room operation. While there are a few seats available, there’s no reserving them. You have to get there early enough to secure one of those seats. Early arrival also gets you a better place to stand so you can make the most of your experience.

Moe’s Alley is just North of Highway 1, or Soquel Avenue. If you live to the west, take Highway 17 south, then catch Highway 1 over to Soquel Drive.

Moe's Alley Parking

You cannot park in front of Moe’s Alley. There is street parking around the venue and in a large lot located across the street.

We encourage ride-sharing, biking or public transportation. If you prefer to drive, please do not park in the front of Moe’s Alley. Street parking and parking in the large lot across the street is available.

How Much Does Moe's Alley Parking Cost?

Depending on the day and time, street parking can be free, but there are also meters here and there that might take change or an app to get them started. As is true with getting a good seat, or place to stand, it’s best to arrive early to get good parking spots.

At the bottom of the Moe’s Alley website, they state that they are fully committed to ensuring all of their patrons have a good time, including those with disabilities.

  • Bathrooms, bars, and food areas are accessible.

  • There are a few seats, which can be requested on a needs-basis as well.

  • The venue doesn’t have its own parking lot, but the lot across the street has accessible slots. Those spots can’t be saved, so arrive early to secure one.

  • Most space inside is standing room only, but wheelchairs are welcomed.
