About Florida Gators Softball

The Florida Gators softball program represents the University of Florida in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southeastern Conference, playing home games at Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium in Gainesville. Founded in 1997, the program has grown into one of college softball's premier powers under head coach Tim Walton, who took over in 2006 and has led the Gators to two national championships in 2014 and 2015, making Florida just the third program in college softball history to win back-to-back titles. The Gators have made 13 Women's College World Series appearances, won nine SEC regular season championships, and produced celebrated players including Lauren Haeger, Kelly Barnhill, and Hannah Rogers. Under Walton, Florida has posted a winning percentage of .800 or higher in 20 of his 28 seasons.
