About NCAA Baseball College World Series
The NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS) is the culmination of the 64-team NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament, held each June in Omaha, Nebraska at Charles Schwab Field. First held in 1947 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the event has called Omaha home since 1950. Eight teams advance through regional and super-regional rounds to compete in two double-elimination brackets, with the bracket winners meeting in a best-of-three championship series. Known for its high level of play, exciting comebacks, and standout individual performances, the MCWS has become a celebrated tradition in collegiate athletics. The University of Southern California leads all programs with 12 titles. Many future Major League Baseball stars have showcased their talents here, making it a key event for scouts and fans alike. The series draws passionate crowds and is widely televised each June.
