Opened the same year that the Titanic took its first (and last) voyage, the Crest Theatre is a gorgeous old historic theater that has weathered the ravages of time to become one of downtown Sacramento’s most recognizable and beloved landmarks. While the venue was initially constructed to house vaudeville performances, it later moved more into showing movies as its main business. Recently, however, thanks to several reconstructions and renovations, it is also known for housing comedy shows, small concerts, and film festival screenings.
