About Central Arkansas Bears Baseball

The Central Arkansas Bears baseball program represents the University of Central Arkansas in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference, playing home games at Bear Stadium in Conway, Arkansas. Founded in 1915, the program is led by head coach Nick Harlan and has made one NCAA Tournament appearance, in 2013, when the Bears finished 42-22 and came within one game of becoming the first Southland Conference program to reach an NCAA Super Regional, defeating conference champions from two other leagues before falling to Mississippi State. The program plays in a modern Bear Stadium that opened in 2009 and has produced six Major League Baseball alumni, including pitcher Glenn Abbott, who was part of baseball's first-ever combined no-hitter in 1975.
