About Louisville Cardinals Baseball

The Louisville Cardinals baseball program represents the University of Louisville in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, playing home games at Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. Established in 1909, the program transformed into a national powerhouse under head coach Dan McDonnell, who took over in 2007 and immediately led the Cardinals to their first College World Series appearance. In his tenure McDonnell has guided Louisville to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, 10 Super Regionals, and six College World Series trips, along with multiple ACC and Big East regular season championships. The program has produced 31 Major League Baseball alumni and set an ACC record with 25 conference wins in a single season in 2015.
