About Kentucky Wildcats Baseball

The Kentucky Wildcats baseball program represents the University of Kentucky in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southeastern Conference, playing home games at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington. One of the SEC's most challenging programs given its northern geography within a warm-weather conference, Kentucky has made 10 NCAA Tournament appearances and produced 48 Major League Baseball alumni. Under head coach Nick Mingione, who took over in 2017, the program has become a consistent national contender, with the 2025 team finishing 46-16 and tying for the SEC regular season title. The program's landmark season came in 2006 under coach John Cohen, when Kentucky achieved the first worst-to-first turnaround in SEC baseball history, winning the conference title and finishing ranked in the national top 25.
