About North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball

The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball program, also known as the Diamond Heels, represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, playing home games at Boshamer Stadium. With first recorded play dating to 1867, the program is one of the oldest in college baseball and has made 37 NCAA Tournament appearances and produced 76 Major League Baseball alumni. Under head coach Scott Forbes, UNC has reached the postseason in each of his first five seasons. The program reached the College World Series in four consecutive years from 2006 to 2009 and has hosted more NCAA regionals since 2006 than any program in the nation, tied with Florida State.
