The Prairie View A&M Panthers baseball program represents Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, competing in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Panthers play their home games at John W. Tankersley Field on campus and are led by head coach Daniel Dulin. As one of the nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Prairie View A&M has a proud athletic tradition, and the baseball program has made three NCAA Tournament appearances. The program's most celebrated alumni is Hilton Smith, a legendary Negro Leagues pitcher who attended Prairie View A&M in the late 1920s and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
