Balu Brigada is a New Zealand alt-pop duo consisting of brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley, originally from Auckland. The band was formed in 2016 as a four-piece under the name Baloo, a reference to the character from The Jungle Book, before being renamed and eventually paring down to the sibling duo at its core. Known for a sound that blends indie rock, alternative R&B, and groove-pop influences, drawing comparisons to Gorillaz and Frank Ocean, the brothers write and self-produce all of their own material.
