Strand of Oaks is a musical project by Timothy Showalter – he is a singer-songwriter and producer. His original plan was to become a basketball player. However, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis prevented him from becoming a successful athlete. He got involved in music and is now a respected figure in the indie rock and folk rock scene.

His debut album Leave Ruin (2009) was just the beginning, eight more studio albums followed, for example Heal (2014), with which he made his breakthrough. Each album reflects a stage in his life: from personal problems to moments of transcendence. His latest work of art, Miracle Focus (2024), builds on this artistic work.
