Sevendust is a rock band that formed in 1994. The trio added members and changed their name several times before settling on Sevendust and releasing a demo in 1997, which they named after the band. The album only sold 310 copies in a week, but it went on to go gold in the future. The Atlanta, Georgia band had three gold albums in a row, millions of records sold worldwide, a Grammy nomination, and 14 studio albums throughout their career. By the time their first album had been out for a year, it was on the Billboard 200 for 16 weeks, peaking at number 165 and helping the album to go gold. Sevendust was then invited to perform at Ozzfest and other big festivals. They also graced the stage of the infamous Woodstock ’99 concert in Rome, New York.
