Unlike most British bands, who needed to find domestic success at home in the UK before their music crossed over to the United States, alternative rockers Bush hit the zeitgeist immediately on both sides of the pond with their debut album Sixteen Stone, hitting the top of both the US and UK charts. Charismatic lead singer Gavin Rossdale gave the band a (very handsome) face while brooding yet powerful tunes like “Glycerine” and “Swallowed” gave voice to a generation of young people who felt overlooked and rejected. All in all, Bush has had many songs crack the top ten of the charts, along with one Number One album in Razorblade Suitcase and a Grammy nomination (for “Swallowed”) as well as receiving other major awards. Bush broke up in 2002 with the members going their separate ways to pursue solo projects, but got back together in 2010, albeit with Corey Britz and Nik Hughes replacing Nigel Pulsford and Dave Parsons. While never reaching the heights of popularity that they found in the early 1990s, the band has nonetheless recorded 5 more albums that have been received well and continues to tour and perform regularly. Bush spent most of the summer and early fall of 2024 on the road, touring across the United States and Canada from July until mid-September. The tour, christened Bush – Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour, kicked off at BECU Live at Northern Quest in Airway Heights, Washington on July 27, followed by outdoor concerts at the Montana State Fair (Great Falls, Montana), USANA Amphitheatre (West Valley City, Utah), Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre (Denver Colorado), Copeland Park (La Crosse, Wisconsin), and Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park (Indianapolis, Indiana), among many others. Overall, the tour was a good combination of outdoor venues and indoor theaters. While the last official concert of the tour took place on September 15 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California, fans eager to see Bush perform live in 2024 can still catch the rockers at four remaining concerts this year, including Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom, in Chicago, Illinois on December 13 as well as Uptown Theater (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Downstream Casino Resort (Quapaw, Oklahoma), and Hard Rock Live Bristol (Bristol, Virginia).
