Blue Man Group is an American performance art company founded in March 1987. A collaboration between three intimate friends named Phil Stanton, Chris Wink, and MattGoldman. Its performers, commonly referred to as Blue Men, paint their skins blue as they appear in groups of three while they keep mute throughout their shows. In 1999, the group released its debut studio recording, Audio. A few of their notable achievements are a 2000 Grammy Award Nomination for Best Pop Instrumental Album and a 2-time winner of the Magazine Readers Choice Award – Best Percussion Ensemble (2014 & 2015).
