About Nevada Ballet Theatre

Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) is the Resident Ballet Company of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas and one of the largest performing arts organizations in the state. Founded in 1972 by Vassili Sulich, a principal dancer with the Folies Bergere, the company grew from a sold-out single performance at UNLV into a fully professional organization originally known as Nevada Dance Theatre before adopting its current name in 1998. Led today by Artistic Director Roy Kaiser, its fourth artistic leader, NBT presents classical masterworks alongside contemporary works and Balanchine repertoire. The company also operates a Ballet and Dance Academy and reaches over 16,000 students annually through its Future Dance education and outreach programs throughout Southern Nevada.
