About Flaw

Flaw is an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 1996 when vocalist Chris Volz answered an ad placed by guitarist Jason Daunt seeking a singer. The band released three independent albums, American Arrogance(1996), Flaw (1998), and Drama (2000), before signing with Universal Republic Records. Their major label debut, Through the Eyes (2001), topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart on the strength of singles "Payback" and "Whole." Their follow up, Endangered Species (2004), debuted at No. 42 on the Billboard 200. After label and lineup troubles led to a breakup, the band reformed in 2015 and have since released Divided We Fall (2016), Vol IV: Because of the Brave (2019), and a covers album, Revival (2022). Throughout numerous lineup changes, lead vocalist Chris Volz has remained the band's sole constant member and creative driving force. The band is known for their emotionally raw lyrics and heavy, melodic sound rooted in the early 2000s nu metal scene.
