Knuckle Puck is a rock band that formed in the Chicago suburbs in 2010. They got their name from the shot in ice hockey called a “knucklepuck,” which became a more common term in popular culture when it was used in the D2: The Mighty Ducks film in 1994. The group recorded several EPs, and their debut album came out in 2015. Two more albums followed and they switched record labels in 2022 and released another album the next year. When Knuckle Puck first got together, they played cover songs in the outskirts of Chicago and sold their own t-shirts at their shows. Critics call their sound old-school punk rock and emo, but they have a contemplative, slower side to them as well. They were included on the “12 Bands You Need to Know” list in 2014 and were also one of the “Artists to Watch” that year.
