Haste the Day is an American Christian metalcore band formed in Carmel, Indiana in 2001, signed to Solid State Records. The band's name is derived from a lyric in the hymn "It Is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. Originally consisting of brothers Brennan and Devin Chaulk alongside bassist Mike Murphy, the band recruited lead vocalist Jimmy Ryan in 2002 and released their debut album Burning Bridges in 2004 on Solid State Records. Following Ryan's departure in late 2005, Stephen Keech became the band's permanent vocalist and made his formal debut on Pressure the Hinges (2007), ushering in the group's most celebrated era with fan favorites Dreamer (2008) and Attack of the Wolf King (2010). Their sixth album Coward (2015), crowd-funded for over $140,000, was their second straight Top 20 entry on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and second Top 10 on the Hard Rock Albums chart. The band disbanded in 2016 but reunited in 2023 for a sold-out performance at Furnace Fest. Their seventh studio album Dissenter, produced by Stephen Keech and released on May 1, 2026, via Solid State Records, was their first full-length release in eleven years and was met with widespread critical acclaim. The current lineup consists of Stephen Keech (vocals), Brennan Chaulk (guitar), Scott Whelan (guitar), Dave Krysl (guitar), Mike Murphy (bass), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums).
