About Camila

Camila is a Mexican pop rock trio formed in 2005, consisting of Mario Domm (vocals, piano, producer), Samuel "Samo" Parra (vocals), and Pablo Hurtado (guitar). Founded by award-winning composer and producer Mario Domm from Torreón, Coahuila, the band takes its name from a word meaning "close to God." Their debut album Todo Cambió (2006) on Sony BMG Norte became a phenomenon across Latin America, and their single "Abrázame" reached number eight on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart. Their second album Dejarte de Amar (2010) produced "Mientes," which topped the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart for ten consecutive weeks. In total the band has amassed 14 top ten hits on that chart, with three reaching number one. They performed at the Foro Sol in Mexico City and have won multiple Latin Grammy and Billboard Latin Music Awards. After Samo's departure in 2013 and a decade-long hiatus, the trio reunited in 2023 and released their comeback single "Fugitivos."
