City Winery Nashville was the fourth of its kind (after NYC, Chicago, and Napa) opened by Michael Dorf, founder of the iconic NYC music venue Knitting Factory. Dorf became enthusiastic about wine after making some wine himself with his brother and winemaker David Tate. He decided to combine this newfound passion for wine with his lifelong passion for live music and entertainment in a new endeavor that he opened in New York simply called City Winery. Dorf’s connections in the music industry have helped to bring some truly impressive solo artists and bands to perform in City Winery Nashville’s intimate concert spaces.
