The MVP Arena has a rich history behind it that spans across several eras of entertainment. Once known as the Knickerbocker and later known as Times Union Center, the MVP Arena has been standing tall since 1990 in Albany, New York, with a capacity of 17,500. In 1997. The venue was renamed Pepsi Arena in 1997 and then Times Union Center in 2007.
In October 2021, the Times Union’s naming rights to the center expired, and it was replaced by the MVP Health Services a month later. Under the new name, the arena hosted the NCAA events, including Frozen Four tournaments. Regardless of the changes, it remains a key piece in Albany’s sports and entertainment scene.
On Monday, April 15th, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band's 2024 Tour comes to town with their signature rock performances. Friday, April 26th, Jordan Davis brings his Damn Good Time World Tour, a campaign designed to deliver authentic country tunes.
On Friday, May 3rd, The Postal Service & Death Cab For Cutie will be uniting for Give Up & Transatlanticism, a night promising soul-stirring rock melodies.
Tuesday, May 21st, metal enthusiasts would gather at the arena for Judas Priest's epic showcase. Thursday, May 23rd, The Avett Brothers captivate with their heartfelt folk sounds. Wednesday, June 12th, it will be iconic rocker Stevie Nicks’ turn to mesmerize the crowd.
Saturday, June 22nd, Ladies Love R&B will take over. On Tuesday, September 24th, Jelly Roll's Beautifully Broken Tour comes with poignant country ballads. Thursday, October 3rd, you can get some rib-cracking jokes as Sebastian Maniscalco makes a stop for his It Ain't Right Tour.
Friday, November 15th, MercyMe and TOBYMAC close the MVP Arena’s year 2024 with a rock-filled crescendo.
